Hey guys!
I said I was going to do a fashion week post, so thought I'd take advantage of the time that I have now.
I've spent most of my time this week watching all the LFW live streams that I could, I even sat straight up on my bed with my heels on pretending I was sat on the front row....I'm joking I'm not that sad lol, but I did envision myself being there and soaking up all the great atmosphere.
I have so many favourites from the aw13 ready to wear collections but these are just a few that that caught my eye. I can honestly say as I was going through each of these collections I was nodding and saying 'ooo I'd wear that, oh and that, ooo that too'. Although some may be a little too sophisticated for the 18 year old me, I still like to envision myself in these amazing pieces.
So whats the reason I was so drawn to these pieces you may be wondering...well first off be wise they're gorgeous, but it's also because I'm a huge fan of textures, patterns and shape. I love the mix of different fabrics that all these collections included, from the way David Koma mixed sheer fabric and rubber to the way Christopher bailey used latex to re invent the trench coat...oh and I can't get enough of that leather and snake print ensemble!
Then we have the prints and patterns, I never thought I'd want to wear cow print so much in my life but here I am already planning the outfits I can make once I find the fabric. We have to give Peter Pilotto the recognition he deserves for his amazing use of colour and eye popping patterns. I first started taking notice of him when I saw Kristen Stewart and Emma Watson in two of his dresses and from there on I fell in love with his designs. He definitely didn't fail at impressing me with this collection, i love how the silhouettes were quite flirty but still had that masculine edge to them that we all love.
Every single on of these collections have impressed me and inspired me, along with other collections by designers such as Victoria Beckham, Herve Leger, Cavalli the list goes on! I'm ready for fall to come and we haven't even gotten to spring yet! I can't wait to re create some of these trends!
Anyways I know this was kind of a long post but I hope you liked it :)
What were some of your favorite collections?

xoxo
